We had an issue appear with some users when using Chrome with Genie. Their userid appears to be populating in certain fields when they bring up a screen in Genie. This issue does not happen when using Internet Explorer. Have you seen this issue before? Is there anything that can be done in Chrome that would resolve this issue? We tried turning off auto-fill but the issue still appeared. I have attached copies of the screens that show the userid populating in certain fields.

C483DFS is the userid? That is VERY strange... This sounds like it may be a bug, so probably the best thing to do is open a support ticket, et al, with our support team. I'll ask someone to e-mail you to get this process started.

What version of Profound UI are you currently on? There was a fix in version 5.1.0 that fixed a similar issue that you are describing. Its possible that upgrading your version might fix this issue. Let us know what version you are on and we can advise you accordingly.

C483DFS is the person's userid. We are using version 5.0.8.

This issue occurs in Chrome when a Genie field has both "non-display" and "protect" attributes; this normally creates a password field in order to emulate the behavior on the green screen. The problem is Chrome will see these password fields and automatically insert a user ID in another input field because it assumes you are going to log in since there is a password field on the screen.
In 5.1.0 a fix was made so that a password field is no longer created for these, but instead a hidden textbox is created. This seemed to fix the problem so far, and it sounds like this is the same problem you are currently experiencing. We recommend you try upgrading and see if that resolves your issue.
To update to the latest version of Profound UI, you will want to download the latest installer from our website here:
http://www.profoundlogic.com/download
You will need to login first before being able to download. From there simply grab the installer for Profound UI and download it onto your local machine and run the installation.
However, whenever updating your version of Profound UI we always recommend installing the newest version in a separate instance from your production instance first and testing out your applications in this separate instance to make sure the newest version does not introduce new bugs or breaks any of your current applications. Once you are satisfied with your testing and have determined that the latest version will not break anything you can then proceed to install the latest version on your production instance. You should also review the change log here to see what has changed since your current version and the latest one. Items in red are especially important to look at when upgrading.
