Find a missing element

Post by rmarsh »

I have managed to lose a field. I even know what it should be named but I cannot find it.

Any tips?

Thanks.

Maybe you accidentally dragged it off of the visible part of the screen? Try scrolling left/right or up/down.

Or, maybe you accidentally put it underneath another field, so you can't see it?

I managed to find it. Somehow I had made it invisible, locked it in place and placed it under another element.

The way I found it was to turn the visibility off and on in the chrome developer window. I also found that when I cursored over the line that affected the element, in the developer window, the element was highlighted.
