Scott, just to let you know that the fix to the simple container and embedded tab panels works like a charm. I went 3 deep, so far, and everything is working like a champ and the editor is working smooth as silk as well. Thanks for your help.

Well must have done something wrong in posting my reply so will try again. Version 4.8.5 is working great and I can embedded tab panels, using the simple container, at least 3 deep. Designer is working smooth as well. thanks for your help.
