Hello, when most of our staff attempt to use the new Favorites feature on Atrium menu, they get the following error:
"The server response is missing or in valid.
syntaxerror: Syntax error "
it should be noted that the staff members with "allobj" authority in the IBMi system are able to properly use the new feature. please help.
Chris

Re: use of the Favorites feature
The Favorites system works by maintaining records in a database file ATFAVP in the Profound UI library.
Sounds like an authority issue, perhaps? Can you try making sure that there is public *CHANGE authority on the file?
Does that fix it for your users? Please let me know.
If that is the problem, we can certainly improve by setting the authority properly to begin with and/or issuing a better error message.

Hi David.
that was the problem. the permission was set to Public *use, which prevented any writing to the said file.
Thanks for the quick response.

Re: use of the Favorites feature
Can you provide an explanation on how the Favorites feature is used?
I must be missing something simple, but how do I add a menu item to the favorites?
I can add a folder, rename a folder and delete a folder, but that is all.

When you have that menu item open in a tab, you can click the Add to Favorites button on the top right side.

Thanks, I knew it had to be simple. I just didn't see the new button.
